Lyle,
It has been many many years since I saw / heard from you. Hope all is well with you. Looked at the pics of your homes - I remember a couple of them.

I now own my own business in the Humboldt Mall, and am on the Chamber of Commerce Board. We are actually starting a 'Business Hall of Fame' this year. I suggested your father, Wilf, be the recipient for the inaugural year, as he was a huge builder of business in Humboldt and put Humboldt on the world map, as the Mustard Capital of the World. Please let me know if you are OK with me pursuing this with the Chamber.

I sent you a 'friend request' on facebook, as well. Take care.

I'm stuck at Edward Chamney who lived in Bardsea, Lancashire & had several children baptized there between 1779 & about 1788. Can't trace him back before that, it seems. Some of his progeny lived at Hampton Court Palace (Thomas & his son William) & later Portsmouth (Marcus Mitchell Chamney), before immigrating to the USA. I have extensive records on some branches of the family, but could use help with the Lancashire part. Best regards to all!

Hey Lyle
Just dropping by to say hi.
The beers that I owe you are still cooling, well actually I drank them but they'll be refilled in the fridge when you're ready to enjoy them.
I hope you're still enjoying flying, as I enjoy jumping.
You've got me thinking about wordpress.... thanks for the tip.
Au revoir mon ami

Hi I'm interested in any information on a Joseph C Chamney (Born South County Dublin 1870)Co. Dublin who married an Elizabeth Newman (not certain of this surname born in Wicklow 1876) circa 1899 and they had four children. Maria,Elizabeth, Edward (Emigrated Australia) and Alice. Anyone see any similarities with their own families. Regards Brendan

The Chamney family possibly came from Lancashire, around the Cartmel area as there was a large concentration of Chamney families there. Chamneys appeared in the early registers of Ulverston parish circa 1547. Entries for a Christopher Chamney's family appeared in the St Peter's Church of Ireland, Drogheda, Co Louth register from Apr 1654 to Apr 1659 and then the family disappeared. I'm still trying to connect our family (Murray belongs to my branch) to that of Lyle's who lived north of our Chamneys in Wicklow. Cheers Deb Flanagan

The Chamneys came over to Ireland from Lancashire (County Louth) England in the 1600's. My family tree stems from Wicklow county, south of Dublin...so we may be related. There is another family reunion slated for the summer of 2010. Murray Chamney - King City ON
